The topic of our Paleontology Study Group meeting was “Collecting Mazon Creek Fossils”.  It was presented by ESCONI President Keith Robitschek.  The presentation included State Park Links, Maps, Surface Collecting Concretions, Concretion Storage, Opening, Cleaning, and Care.

    Very nice job putting this presentation together and thanks for sharing your Mazon creek wisdom with the community. I’ve personally been to most of these collecting spots and as we all know, it’s a ton of time & work to find and build a decent collection. You gotta really love this hobby or have a few screws loose….or both! 😎
