Keeping with the history theme, here’s a photo from a field trip to Pit 11 most likely from the 1980’s. You can see Braidwood Station in the background. Construction on August 1st, 1975 and completed in 1988.

I see a bunch of Mazon Creek old-timers. Mary Smith and her husband are on the left edge of the photo. Bob Ulaszek is in the back row next to them, followed by Walter Leitz, Tom Testa, and Steve Sroka. Any Hay is 4th from the right in the back row. Unfortunately, I don’t recognize the others. In the next row, there’s Dorothy Auler, Rita Leitz, and Don Auler. In front on the right is Karlene Ramsdell.
