Fossil Friday #24: Euphoberia from the Mazon River

This is the “Fossil Friday” post #24.  Expect this to be a somewhat regular feature of the website.  We will post any fossil pictures you send in to esconi.info@gmail.com.  Please include a short description or story.  Check the #FossilFriday Twitter hash tag for contributions from around the world!

Today, we have an excellent specimen of a Euphoberia millipede from Mazon Creek. Actually, it’s literally from Mazon Creek, or at least the Mazon River.  This awesome fossil was found by Connor Puritz at the annual I&M Canal Corridor Fossil Trip in late August 2020.  This thread on the Fossil Forum has pictures and discussion about the trip.  By the way, we did a Mazon Monday about Euphoberia a few weeks ago.
