Fossil Friday #9: Alethopteris serlii from the Mazon River

Here is a stunning Alethopteris serlii from the Mazon River.  It was collected in August 2019 and open via freeze/thaw in late September 2019.  This plant is among the seed ferns (Pteridospermales), which is an extinct group of gymnosperms.
