The Pokémon Fossil Museum at the Field Museum is now Open!

The Pokémon Fossil Museum at the Field Museum opened on Wednesday, May 20th, 2026. Tickets can be purchased here. Tickets are required for entry and should be purchased in advance. Here is the FAQ page.

⚡️The Pokémon Fossil Museum exhibition will make its North American debut at the Field Museum on May 22, 2026 — April 11, 2027! This one-of-a-kind experience brings together the worlds of Pokémon and paleontology, inviting visitors to compare fossil Pokémon like Tyrantrum and Archeops with real-world fossils—including SUE the T. rex.

⚡️There is a high level of interest in the Pokémon Fossil Museum exhibition, and tickets are subject to availability.

⚡️Upon your purchase, you will receive an email confirmation of your ticket order. Please be prepared to present ID upon redemption of your ticket order at the museum.

Arjan Mann did a nice post over on Facebook. It’s a great exhibit. There’s a mixture of real fossils with Pokémon animals. And, a nice (but small) Mazon Creek display at the end. Here are a few photos.
