The April 2026 Paleontology Study Group Meeting featured Keith Robitschek and his presentation “Digging the Marl of the Lance Formation”.

This presentation is a review of a Late Cretaceous channel deposit located in the Lance Formation found not far from New Castle Wyoming. Topics covered includes formation timeline and description, basic sedimentology including marl, current and deep time environments, and fossilized animal life that can be discovered in the marl of Lance Formation.
