Yes, time for yet another preview for the 2023 ESCONI Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Show.  Yet another Mazon Creek fossil… come on out!  We have more!

This one is a Macroneuropteris scheuchzeri, a seed fern from Mazon Creek.  These fossil plants are found in Illinois and date to about 307 million years ago.  This one looks like it had an insect chewing on it a long time ago!  For more information, see Mazon Monday #39.
