The program at our October 11, 2019 meeting will be presented by Dr. James E. "Jed" Day, Professor of Geology at Illinois State University. The title of his talk is "Upper Devonian (Keellwasser) Mass Extinction Records from the Subtropics of North America". He will speak about the local (W. Illinois and Iowa) vertebrate microfossil and brachiopod records of the Late Devonian mass extinction.
