Field Museum: These New Fossil Discoveries Show Why Evolution is the Coolest

The Field Museum blog has a post about three recent fossil discoveries

  • Antarctanax shackeltoni, an iguana-sized reptile that lived in Antarctica about 250 million years ago
  • Eretmorhipis carrolldongi, a strange platypus-like reptile with a bony stegosaurus-style plates, lived China about 250 million years ago
  • Galagadon nordquistae, a shark named for ESCONI past-president Karen Nordquist, that lived along side SUE about 67 million years ago
