ESCONI is sponsoring a rock swap and sale event on August 15, 2026 at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn. The location is Parking Lot 4, south of the Health and Science Building, and adjacent to the prairie.

Setup starts at 8 AM. The event is open from 9 AM to 3 PM, with everyone out by 4 PM. Visitor parking is free in Lot 3 just across the road and admission is free. The fee for vendors is $20 per 9 x 18 foot sell/swap space (limit 2). Parking for the vendor’s vehicle is free. You do not need to be a club member. There are no reservations – first come, first served. Fees will be collected after setup. Vendors can sell from the back of their car or truck, or from tables (not provided by ESCONI).

Items suitable for sale or swap include rocks, minerals, fossils, lapidary, jewelry as well as books and magazines related to earth science. Space at shows is limited and expensive. This event is intended to be a low-cost opportunity to trade or sell items related to earth science. No food or drinks may be sold, so bring your own and plan for the weather.

Lot 4 is asphalt, so canopies or tarps must be stabilized with weights,
not stakes.

We’ll need a few volunteers to help with setting things up in the morning, directing visitors and vendors where to park, and selling items at the club tables (just like the sale tables at the show). If you can help please let me know by email at esconirockswap@mail.com.
