Happy 32nd Unearth Day, SUE!

To commemorate SUE’s 35th rebirthday, the Field Museum did this post on LinkedIn last week.

On August 12, 1990, Sue Hendrickson unearthed SUE—the world’s largest and most complete T. rex fossil ever found. 🎊

Since then, SUE’s been on quite the journey: from a rocky resting place in South Dakota to the spotlight at the Field Museum, meeting millions of visitors. 🦖

Scientists around the world have studied SUE to dig deeper into how T. Rex lived 65 million years ago. 🦴

It’s safe to say that SUE has made an asteroid-sized impact, forever changing what we know about life in the Cretaceous. 🎊
