Here are some photos from a Braidwood Field Trip on September 27th, 1959.  This was an annual field trip, which included multiple clubs.  Check out the old cars and again the bare spoil pile hills!  These spoil piles were relatively fresh when you consider this was 60 years ago and they were maybe 20-30 years old at the time.
