On Saturday, October 15th, 2016, the ESCONI Paleo Study Group held the 2nd Annual “Best Fossil Contest”.  There were three categories, vertebrates, invertebrates, and plants. 

The winners in the vertebrate category were:

1. Keith Robitschek (Edmontosaurus Vertebrae)
2. Thomas Williams (Thescelosaurus Rib)
3. David Bergmann (Mioplosus)

The winners in the invertebrate category were:

1. Tony Bellos (Elrathia kingi)
2. John Catalani (Endoceras/Macroscenella superba)
3. Keith Robitschek (Camerate Crinoid)

The winners in the plant category were:

1. Thomas Williams (Annularia stellata)
2. Joan Bledig (Crenulopteris accadica)
3. Rich Holm (Macroneuropteris macrophylla)
