Burpee Museum, Rockford, IL. 2014 Mahlburg Scholar Lecture by Dr. Dennis Kolata (ISGS Retired) will be presenting “Life and Times of a 450 Million Year Old Seaway”.  Dennis is an expert on Illinois Geology, especially the Platteville and Galena Groups.  His research focus includes crinoids and trilobites.  He recently edited the Geology of Illinois Book.
