Here is a nice Higginsite specimen from Bisbee, Arizona. This rare and beautiful piece was once part of the Wilbert Rath collection. It was donated to ESCONI by Kathy Dedina’s family about 10 years ago.

Higgensite was named for the Higgins Mine, Bisbee, Arizona, USA by Charles Palache as a new mineral in 1920. It is now used as a synonym for the already established Conichalcite. Its chemical formula is CaCu(AsO₄)(OH) with a hardness of 4.5.
